CalSys Unveils HD-VMC Platform for Next-Gen HD Video Surveillance Delivering Mega Pixel (1080p, 720p) Video over Existing CCTV Cables

Santa Clara, Calif. – April 5, 2011 – CalSys, Inc, a provider of advanced system solutions for digital video surveillance and networked video communications, will display the HD-VMC, a multi-channel HD-SDI digital video platform, in CalSys’ Hospitality Suite at the Summer Bay Resorts Hotel, 3950 Koval Lane, Las Vegas, Nevada. The HD-VMC is being unveiled April 6-8 in conjunction with ISC West 2011. Powered by CalSys’ patent-pending VClearTM and JSCATM technologies, the HD-VMC performs the highest possible compression ratio (up to 50 percent bit rate reduction) without degrading the visual experience.

The HD-VMC features a H.264 encoding/decoding capability of 150 frames per second at 1920×1080, or 300 frames per second at 1280×720 resolutions, with the lowest encoding-decoding latency. The platform can be configured as a four-channel 1080p system or an eight-channel 720p system. It supports multiple 1080p/720p IP cameras in hybrid mode and ensures reliable network transmission for a given network bandwidth. The HD-VMC features non-degraded Mega Pixel Video, Super Lower Latency (SLL) technology from Cavium Networks, editable 1080p visual smashing EMAP, auto power on/off, auto temperature control, two-way visual communication, and others. The HD-VMC is available now.

“The HD-VMC is the most powerful HDcctv-compliant video platform available today,” said James W. Liu, President and CEO of CalSys. “It was specifically developed to meet the demands of the video surveillance market for high-performance, mega pixel video solutions over standard CCTV cable. The many successful field applications of this platform prove that the HD-VMC is the most reliable and cost-effective solution.”
